We're not immune from that. We looked at how our own company was living in the world, and realized we needed to act on our belief that choosing between the economy and the planet is a false choice. Furthermore, aligning how brands behave with what they believe is an imperative in our kind of disruption. It was obvious what we needed to do.
We set out to become a Certified B Corporation. If you’re unfamiliar, B Corps are companies that have been verified as meeting high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. It involves a rigorous assessment process and an ongoing commitment to maintain ethical business practices holistically across the company — for the benefit of employees, clients and our community. We are all interdependent.

Becoming and remaining a B Corp is a continual process of improvement that has real implications for how we operate. It gives us a lens for evaluating our decisions — how we work, who we work with and what we prioritize. It also gives us an international network of likeminded organizations who share our passion for building an economy that benefits everyone, not just shareholders.
